Hoshiarpur/Rinku thapar 6August In a significant step towards promoting a drug-free society, MY Bharat Hoshiarpur organized
a district-level programme titled “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Vikshit Bharat” under the guidance
of Deputy Director Ms. Jasleen Kour, in collaboration with Government College,
Hoshiarpur. The event aimed to sensitize and mobilize youth against substance abuse while
encouraging their active participation in nation-building.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students and
young individuals from across the district. The event commenced with the arrival of
dignitaries, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a formal welcome address by
Deputy Director Ms. Jasleen Kour, who emphasized the importance of collective efforts in
creating a drug-free environment.
Hon’ble Assistant Commissioner (G), Major Dr. Sumit Mudh, graced the occasion as the
Chief Guest, while College Principal Smt. Savita Gupta attended as the Guest of Honour.
In her address, the Chief Guest highlighted the critical role of youth in shaping the nation’s
future and urged them to stay away from drugs while adopting a disciplined, healthy, and
responsible lifestyle.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director Jasleen Kour said, “Our youth are the
backbone of a Vikshit Bharat. Through such initiatives, we aim to empower them with
awareness, responsibility, and a strong commitment towards building a Nasha Mukt
Bharat.”
The programme featured a wide range of engaging and impactful activities. A powerful
Nukkad Natak performed by Government College students effectively portrayed the harmful
consequences of drug abuse and left a strong impact on the audience. Competitions including
debate, slogan writing, painting, slam poetry, folk music, dance, and reel competition
provided a vibrant platform for participants to showcase their creativity and express their
views on the theme of a drug-free India.
The event also witnessed enthusiastic cultural performances, reflecting the energy and talent
of the youth. The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners
were felicitated by the dignitaries for their outstanding performances.
The programme was successfully organized with the valuable support and coordination of
College Coordinator Sh. Ranjeet Singh, NSS Coordinators, and the entire college
management, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the
event.
The event ended with a formal vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem. The
successful आयोजन reaffirmed MY Bharat’s commitment towards empowering youth and
advancing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat as a strong foundation for a Vikshit Bharat.
